SCMP1-SV
is
a
medical
gas
distributor
made
with
two
electrically-controlled
pneumatic
actuators,
mounted
on
a
common
sub-base
and
equipped
with
a
mechanical
override
to
be
used
manually
in
case
of
emergency
(failure
or
lack
of
power
supply).
It
has
two
separate
power
ports
through
which
the
device
is
powered
by
two
separate
medical
gas
sources
and
a
medical
gas
outlet
port
intended
to
supply
the
distribution
line.
The
outlet
port
has
3
separate
threaded
connections
for
easier
wiring
of
the
outlet
piping.
This
device
is
intended
to
be
integrated
into
two-cylinder
medical
gas
distribution
systems
(road
ambulances
and
rescue
vehicles
included).
Use
of
this
device
is
functional
for
the
use
of
the
medical
gas
distribution
system,
of
which
it
is
part,
by
rescue
vehicle
personnel.
It
can
be
completed
by
a
dedicated
optional
electronic
control
panel
(SCMP1-ET)
equipped
with
a
controller
that
is
programmed
to
force
the
emptying
of
the
bottle
with
the
lover
pressure,
but
give
also
the
possibility
to
open
and
close
the
two
bottles
manually.
SCMP1-ET
is
also
equipped
by
visual
and
acoustic
alarms
for
the
low
pressure
in
one
or
both
bottles.

Two
years
later,
1995,
S.I.EM.
introduced
the
Breath
Leader
M2000
.
In
1997
S.I.E.M.
introduced
the
innovative
Breath
Leader
M1001
.
The
M1001
has
been
the
last
analogic
ventilator
made
by
S.I.E.M.
At
the
end
of
1998
/
beginning
of
1999,
simultaneously
with
the
obtaining
of
ISO
9001
certifications,
EN
46001
and
CE
mark
,
S.I.E.M.
introduced
the
innovative
digitally
controlled
(by
3
microprocessors)
Breathing
Aid
2001
(
BA2001
)
emergency
and
transport
ventilators
family.
The
first
improvement
of
the
BA2001
has
been
introduced
in
2003.
The
improvement
concerned
the
ventilator
case
and
some
new
functionality,
for
the
first
time
available
on
this
type
of
ventilators:
the
Pressure
Cycled
ventilation
Mode
(
PCM
)
and
the
Manual
Ventilation
Mode
(
MVM
).
In
2006
S.I.E.M.
introduced
the
second
very
important
improvement:
a
new
case
had
been
designed.
The
color
of
the
case
had
been
changed
from
white
to
orange
and
the
ergonomic
handle
has
been
added
to
make
more
comfortable
and
safe
the
movement
of
the
devices.
To
distinguish
the
new
BA2001
line
from
the
previous
one
we
named
the
new
one
as
“Orange
Line”
and
the
previous
one
“Standard
Line”.
At
the
same
time,
the
redesign
of
the
pneumatic
unit
began
thanks
to
the
availability
of
new
high-performance
pneumatic
actuators.
In
2008
the
new
pneumatics
entered
production
and
the
production
of
the
"Standard
Line"
ceased.
Also
in
2008
the
BA2001
family
has
been
improved
with
the
introduction
of
the
Cardio
Pulmonary
Resuscitation
ventilation
mode
(
CPR
)
for
the
first
time
available
on
this
type
of
ventilators
(Emergency
and
transport).
This
mode
of
ventilation
was
introduced
to
support
the
cardio-pulmonary
resuscitation
activity
in
cases
where
a
thoracic
compressor
is
not
available
and
rescuers
must
perform
cardiac
massage
manually.
Finally,
in
2013,
to
improve
the
safety
of
the
devices,
the
pneumatic
unit
was
further
improved
by
introducing
a
second
second-level
pressure
reducer
to
prevent
damage
to
the
patient
in
the
event
of
a
fault
on
the
external
compressed
oxygen
supply
line.
The
resulting
story
board
of
S.I.E.M.'s
ventilators
is
represented
in
the
picture
shown
above.
In
2016,
to
complete
the
very
long
experience
in
supporting
some
of
the
Italian
Ambulance
manufacturers,
S.I.E.M.
requested
and
obtained
the
CE
mark
for
the
SCMP1-SV
.
The
SCMP1-SV
device
is
a
medical
gas
distributor
made
with
two
electrically-controlled
pneumatic
actuators,
mounted
on
a

After
50
days
in
lockdown
and
after
40
days
of
very
big
difficulties
caused
by
the
decision
of
our
government
to
stop
the
export
of
our
products,
the
last
23
rd
of
April,
the
Italian
Civil
Defense
department
cancelled
the
export
prohibition
for
the
lung
ventilation
devices.
Taking
into
account
the
number
of
deaths
that
we
had
in
our
province
(on
average
30
people
a
day
for
more
than
a
month),
we
had
almost
lost
hope
that
this
could
happen.
Our
good
friends
was
close
to
us
and
this
encouraged
us
to
resist
despite
the
very
difficult
